It’s that time of year, where shopping is in the air! Now that you have made the decision to advance your career as a Medical Interpreter, the next question you must answer is what are the materials or resources I will need to be successful in my career as a Medical Interpreter?


Bilingual Medical Dictionaries:


As a Medical Interpreter it is important that you obtain a Bilingual Medical Dictionary as you are not expected to know all of the Medical Terms, especially in the beginning when you are first starting out. You must therefore obtain a Bilingual Medical Dictionary for English and your Target language. In order to locate one, go to Amazon and type in Bilingual Medical Dictionary and your target language, then look at the reviews and cost to select a dictionary that best meets your needs. 


If you are a remote interpreter, you can get away with a slightly larger dictionary. If you are a face to face interpreter, a smaller more compact dictionary may work best.

Additional schooling is not just recommended but increasingly required. Thus improving your educational opportunities is vital to advancing your career.

The first thing to be aware of is the difference in pricing. The Diploma Course bundle is $1890, this includes all of your textbooks, 24 hours of Live Scenarios Practice as well as the Proficiency Exam. It does not include however the cost of the Bilingual Dictionary.

Each Diploma course has its own textbook.
